Nominations for The Bruntwood Awards for Arts & Business North have been launched as leading property company Bruntwood were confirmed as headline sponsor.
This year we’re highlighting marketing and branding, work with young people, long-term investment, staff retention and training innovation as well as environmental understanding and sustainability. We also have a special category for business people on arts boards.
This year’s categories:
• A&B Cultural Branding Award sponsored by Potts
• A&B Young People Award
• A&B Sustained Partnership Award sponsored by Haden Freeman
• A&B People Development Award
• A&B Environmental Partnership Award sponsored by Bruntwood and Arup
• A&B Board Member of the Year Award
The shortlist and winners will be businesses who invest in partnerships with cultural organisations across six categories. So if you have a cultural partnership to shout about get nominating!
An independent panel of judges will select three shortlisted partnerships per category. They’ll be looking for shining examples of businesses and arts organisations working together to exceed their commercial, strategic and creative goals.
The winners will be announced at an invitation only event on Wednesday 23 March 2011 in the beautiful neo-Gothic surroundings of Manchester Town Hall.
The awards celebrate the very best partnerships between businesses and arts organisations throughout 2010 across the North West, North East, Yorkshire and The Humber.
Arts & Business says …
“We are delighted to be teaming up with Bruntwood in our celebration of inspiring partnerships between culture and commerce across the North of England. The Bruntwood Awards for Arts & Business set the standards for arts and business partnerships in the North West, Yorkshire/Humber, and the North East and provide a platform for the recognition they deserve.
This year we also have the great honour of celebrating the Lever Prize in collaboration with the North West Business Leadership Team.
Arts and business partnerships encourage creativity, advance innovation and add value in surprising and remarkable ways and the ceremony at Manchester Town Hall is a great opportunity to get inspired and meet like-minded in business and the arts."
